What's up everyone! I made a video to take the time to apologize to the community for that awfulness that went down last year on my behalf. I'm truly sorry for anyone I put through anything and I'm here trying to make it right. I took a long time to respond because I wanted to show true growth as a human being. But enough from me, I'll let you watch the video for yourself. Thank you for hearing me out.
Doing normal tech shit, it’s not a big deal, stop worshipping people because they’re rich, I mostly just got lucky.
And if you do make this much money, stop thinking you’re such hot shit, you’re not.
Don’t put your faith in rich people.
Don’t put your faith in anything. Just believe in yourself and be a decent person.
Written in 15 seconds.
So here’s a little clarification on the intention of this post. Admittedly I didn’t think very hard when I was writing it.
I don’t think of myself as ‘objectively’ rich. I certainly don’t think that anyone worships me. What I was trying to speak to with that comment was the “savior” culture of looking up to/worshipping the very rich that I see on social media, on Twitter, here on Reddit, etc. that mentality is dangerous, harmful, and will get you nowhere.
I realize now that it’s incorrect to assume that this mentality has infected this particular subreddit. But, if you don’t prescribe to this mentality, then it shouldn’t bother you.
To those saying “ur not rich bro” - okay! I don’t care. But what I will say is that wealth is relative, and most of my friends make less than $5k a month (though I have several friends who make around what I make). To the average citizen, $20k a month IS rich, as is evidenced by several comments on this very thread. So, maybe I sound like a jackass by making this post, fair. But you also sound kinda like a jackass by saying that making top 10% income is not rich.
This is the best Pokemon game they've released and I don't really care about how the rocks look or whatever. It took me a minute to actually enjoy it because the threads here only discussed the absolute worst aspects of the game without discussing any of the positives of the game. I've put about 60 hours into the game now and the amount of love and care they put into this game is phenomenal. If you don't like it then just return it, but don't be like me and not get the game just because of negative posts on Reddit.
Thanks to the recommendation of many YouTubers. Many people have lost their money on the failed cryptocurrency exchange, FTX. The most troublesome stories are from those who have claimed to have invested their life savings on the platform.
As terrible as it is to make this statement. You ultimately deserve this.
Don't get me wrong. This isn't to be spiteful to those who have made a speculative bet. Well, not entirely. They would also deserve to make money from their speculative bet as well. What I am trying to get people to appreciate is that both the positive and negative outcomes end being the responsibility of the investor.
You just know that if these investors did make a win how much they would attribute it to their own merits. How only they were capable of achieving a feat so great. How you can do it too with enough hard work and determination. If they were winners, they would be pretentious and toxic about their gains.
As their bet didn't go their own way, they're the victims. The victims of a scam promoted by YouTubers. The "system" scammed them. But it wasn't a scam a fortnight ago when they were still milking it. It was only a scam when it didn't work out for them specifically.
If you chose to go all in, that is on you. You don't deserve a bailout. This is part of being your own bank. You're going to make investments, as a bank, that won't work out. You will also make some investments that will work out.
If investors can't manage their money properly on cryptocurrency. What chance does this have in the mainstream? You have to remember that these people are also likely to make egregious claims about how terrible the poor are with their own money.
You took the bet. You thought you could do better than 8% risk-free bonds. You thought 8% was a pittance, now you have nothing. That 8% doesn't seem so bad now, does it? You made your bed, now lie in it.
Are y'all tired of calling the BIPOC talent diversity hires yet?
I'm going to assume that y'all haven't actually watched Rooster Teeth in a really long time got bored tried to get back into it and then found that it's a completely different company than they used to be. That's not going to change just because you spout racist bullshit online, cupcakes.
So not sorry for y'all's loss.
The real ones don't want any of you here. You're not clever, you're not funny, you lack critical thinking and empathy and you're not welcome here.
I've been here for nearly 10 years. This shit isn't new but for fucks sake can the admins and community stop tolerating it?!
The admins of the sub could very easily be taking those comments down and stopping those people from coming into this community with bans. I started this post because I was tired of the talent suffering but I'm ending this post saying it's not only the talent suffering when these comments are allowed to continue to happen and nothing is being done to stop it. You have BIPOC fans that are suffering from this as well.
Y'all have the power to remove these comments, you have the power to ban the people making them, you have the power to protect not only your talent but the fans of your talent and y'all are STILL dropping the ball. Just check Blizz's Twitter.
I'm doing a semester long group project, in short we are creating a thing and have to present it by the end of the semester.
it's literally due in a couple of days and so far we have pretty much NOTHING other than a few ideas on what to do, while every other group has been working on the project for WEEKS.
It's not because no one's doing anything, it's because it's fucking impossible for the group to come into an agreement. I proposed idea 1 for the group project, this dude proposes idea 2 (which is probably the most moronic idea I've ever seen in my life), and this girl proposes idea 3 (complete dogshit as well), the other 4 people are neutral.
We've been meeting at least once a week and been constantly chatting in discord, but every single time we can't accomplish a damn thing because we spend the whole time arguing. Some meetings almost ended up with a fight I'm not even kidding. Every meeting was a variation of: Group start talking, 2-4 people started arguing, other people stop giving a shit, we decide to postpone the discussion, rinse repeat.
Instead of actually working on the project we wasted weeks just doing debating.
Even when I finally got the group to see reason and work on my idea about 2 weeks back, this other 2 morons just keep on trying to sabotage the project, asking to change this or that to be like their idea, or keep on bitching about how the current direction is not gonna work. And last week the dude with idea 2 stopped participating all together like what the fuck? He stopped coming to meetings and when we asked for his help he outright ignored us. Like wut? You can't do your idea and now you're gonna be a manchild and try to fail us all?
And finally a couple days ago the idiot with idea 3 managed to convince one of the neutral people that her idea is the best one, and went and talk to one of our TAs, TA said she kinda liked it or something i don't fucking know, and now the majority of the group is asking to start from scratch, throwing away weeks of work and start over. WHAT. THE. FUCK?
we have like 3 days left, dude. All these guys have to do is trust me, listen to everything and do what I says, why are they making it so difficult? how do i even...
I’ve been playing Pokémon since I was a kid. My first games were Pokémon Blue and ever since I have played almost every Pokémon game out there.
When Scarlet and Violet were days from being released in stores, I checked some reviews and I was extremely nervous. Reviewers claimed the game was an unfinished product having major technical difficulties, the world feeling lifeless, and not having any replay value. After reading so many articles I felt adamant about buying the game.
I decided to buy the game regardless and I am beyond happy I did. The storyline is wonderful! This is the first time I felt such a connection to the legendary Pokémon and caught off guard by the final plot point. I would gladly replay the game from the beginning.
Edit: Correction - Scarlet/Violet is ONE of the best switch Pokémon games
