Loved Papalinos and he also had butchertown pizza which didn’t last long but was great. Heard about the food truck so will check it out.
My favorite slice in town is spinellis when it’s actually made well.
Just got home from the post, absolutely love their pizza of the month this month which is a vodka sauce pizza. I add pesto drizzle to it and sausage and it’s freaking great.
Old school NY pizza out in east end is good and a place in New Albany, Liberty pizza I think.
I love Lupo but it’s more artisan style pizza.
Last time I went to NY, I got 2 pies from my favorite place, froze them and vacuum sealed the slices and brought them home. Heat them up in air fryer and I almost can’t tell it’s not fresh, but those are special treats because I’d run out fast if I ate them how I want. Pizza freezes surprisingly well and vacuum sealing it really makes it last.

Kentucky born and raised but lived in NY for a while in my twenties. Spinellis was my fav slice before I moved to NY. Obviously NY takes the cake, but when Spinelli’s is on, it’s great. It’s so inconsistent. If I order it, I preheat my oven to 450 convection in case I need to cook it some more when it arrives. If I ask them to cook it more, they burn it.
I love their sauce, the big sausage clumps, the crust. It’s great, when they do it right.
Their Philly cheesesteak fries were always quite tasty.

Pat's steakhouse is terrible (relative to what it's supposed to be) and would not survive if opened today I don't believe.
I went for the first time in years and the steak I actually don't think was seasoned at all. We were like a table of 10, so I can totally see the line cook going down and seasoning all the steaks to start cooking and totally missing one. The baked potato had absolutely no effort put into it at all. I can't remember if it was wrapped in foil or not, but you don't have to do that with potatoes lol; I love a crispy skin.
I think people love the idea of getting these salads with a bunch of dressing choices or something, but it was just some basic lettuce and maybe some cherry tomatoes with some slices of cucumber?
Anyway, I am still annoyed with that meal, and it's been probably a year.
Steakhouses in general are a bit of a scam in my opinion, but I recognize they are kinda the standard for people going out to celebrate an event of some sort, but restaurants aren't sourcing their steaks from some secret butcher shop that only sells to restaurants the best quality meat money can buy.
Cooking steakhouse quality steaks at home just needs some comfort with utilizing high-heat cooking, seasoning liberally with kosher salt, a thermometer, some butter and garlic and maybe some other aromatics.
The best ribeye I've had in town hands down was at Bistro 1860 cooked by Michael Crouch and it had a delicious pan sauce and some delicious oyster mushrooms.

Someone else mentioned it being torn down and residential housing built. Seems weird to me to tear down a perfectly good structure but I guess that kinda thing happens all the time. I could see it being a gym like a planet fitness. Who knows.

So I posted this thread while sitting in the parking lot amping myself to go in while avoiding the spectrum people and while looking at the abandoned CVS, my first thought was it looks kinda Aldi-ish, but I really don’t think the parking is there?

Follow them on FB. They still do dessert events and occasionally hot food takeout events. It sells out fast.

I used to live in NYC and had my fair share of pastrami sandwiches from 2nd Ave Deli and from Katz's. I came across Goodbelly's food truck back in November at an event in the Clifton area and got myself the pastrami on rye. It was delicious.

I could be wrong, but I’m not entirely sure a car with a bad alternator will stay running after being jumped. My understanding of your post indicates if you get a jump, it runs but just won’t start again after shutting it off. That seems more like a battery that won’t take a charge.
But I might be wrong, but replacing battery is much cheaper than replacing the alternator.

She turns 11 in April. Her mom was Aussie but they weren’t sure about the dad. Said the neighbor had a boxer that might’ve made it into their yard but they weren’t sure. I’ve always thought Aussie/pit though. I wanna see yours now!
She has no Aussie traits other than the Merle color. She doesn’t like to play. Doesn’t like water. Doesn’t try to herd any other creatures. Won’t play fetch. She’s just a big goof.

I think it's funny how we give our pets different names as Hayley is referred to several things, most often Hayley-Bean, but sometimes Ms. Bean. Just thought I would share.

As someone who has been through the ringer medically, this is pretty good advice, but if you are going to meet your deductible regardless of how cheap a service is, don’t do self-pay because it’s going to end up costing you more if that amount doesn’t get applied to your deductible.

I do, and they covered thousands of dollars of an issue. I believe the plumbers that came said it would’ve been around $4500 out of pocket. Get it.

I knew they had a location in Denver but it was a nice surprise to discover one in Cinci.
